A good friend and fellow photographer asked me to do a few portraits for her upcoming newly designed website. I was more than thrilled! Fall Days

If you’ve ever wondered what I do on my (seemingly limited) free time, this is it! My hubby and I went to Ojai on my day off and we just walked around, got pizza and went to the park. We sat on a bench, me with my magazines and him with a book. It was lovely… And yes, I read wedding magazines. Why? Because they inspire me! They are the best place to look for session ideas, baby shower themes, everything beautiful in fashion and accessories and creative ways to decorate (none do it better than Martha Stewart!).

Yesterday I learned that this little miracle baby passed away. The first few months of his life were spent in the hospital with multiple heart surgeries but he came out strong. This photo was taken at about 6 months, which was 6 months ago. To this day he still holds the record for the most smiles in one session (and the best attitude)! He has a very special place in my heart and it hurts to let him go. Sweet Logan, you will always be loved and missed.

You know that song that plays at the end of the wedding in the movie Love Actually? … Love, Love, Love… that is all I could hear while I was editing this gorgeous session. There was mama love, papa love, family love… camera love! I have so many favorites it’s hard to pick! If you missed the first sneak peek it’s here. Oh and the best part? Written neatly in the memo of the check was written “smoochie session” (see bottom right pic!). I LOVE IT! That gave me the biggest smile of the week!
Lane Farms Pumpkin Patch

First of all, I LOVE the pumpkin patch this year at Lane Farm and the lighting was so good I just HAD to take some portraits. This goat cracked me up because not only was he sleeping, but it was about three feet off the ground! These are our dear friends and as you can see they are also very photogenic… Hilary you are absolutely stunning! Thank you for letting me ‘play.’
