Sick Days

March 20, 2010 · 3:40 pm

What to do when you have a cold, you’re pregnant, it’s a gorgeous day, your hubby is at work and you don’t feel like doing ANYTHING… pick up the magazine you’ve been meaning to read for weeks, cut up some fresh apples and swiss cheese, keep the TP handy for nose drips and just relax. Ahhhhh…

Lucky | The Album

March 19, 2010 · 10:00 am

I just received this beauty in the mail today. It fits perfectly on my gorgeous chair in the bedroom, but alas this album belongs to the mother of this special newborn. I can’t get enough of these albums, they are included in all of my collections and I want several myself (and my baby isn’t even here yet!).

Children’s Book Month | Week Three

March 15, 2010 · 10:00 am

Well this week is a timeless tale… The Giving Tree. I loved this book even though it was sad and just makes your heart melt. Shel Silverstein is one of my favorites in general, I used to read his poems all the time… it let my imagination be free! What words and images he uses. It’s quite amazing really. As I am planning our baby’s nursery, this book has  a special place on the shelf. Why? Because baby is getting MY copy, already loved and worn in.

P.S. We are moving today! (finally). Wish us luck as we get cozy in our new country place!

Children’s Book Month | Week Two

March 8, 2010 · 10:00 am

I think I want Children’s Book Month to last all year! This week is a very special book…Do you know what I love about ELOISE? Everything. I think I have read this book more times than all of my other books combined (including text books!). I am not sure who gave me this book but I am positive my parents thought I would be morally corrupted by her crazy authority free life! Well I turned out ok… but this is a MUST for any little girl’s book library. And be prepared to sing the song that Nanny sings, my mom always had to sing it! Oh, and “charge it please!”
