I have taken some time away from portraiture and it has been such a blessing. I am thankful to have been SO busy last year, but sad for the moments I missed with my daughter and amazing husband. I am officially stepping away from sessions until further notice. I am working on re-crafting my art into that which was my first love and I am desperately wanting to be outside of the mold I find myself in. Newborn photography has turned into a race to be the best… and I am now in a race to just BE.
Originality is equally creation and integrity.

How much do I love my little one and a half year old? My Ella, my love. More than you will ever know… how sweet her spirit, how full of life her smile, her raspy girly voice and the pitter patter of her steps all around the house. This is a precious, precious soul!

Been working over at Crown(ed) a lot lately… loving just simply working with my hands, getting them laced with paint and watching them dry. Glistening beautiful creations I can call my own. It is my hope that you all had an incredible Merry Christmas and that you are looking forward to a fantastic 2012 year! I am working on a few new projects, and this one has been in the works all month. Crowned Embellishments is opening up shop this evening for ready to ship items. You can find the shop here and find me on facebook here. The full new collection will release in a week or two. Some of the crowns in the shop today are new colors and others are just gorgeous. There are limited amounts of each (about 2 or 3 only), so snag them up! Crowned Embellishments will not restock these items.
Also many people have asked about the books I made for my sweet baby Ella’s first year. I used a great company called Blurb, you can find it here. They are relatively affordable and the printing quality is reasonable with some tweaking!

Kind of dying over this session… the colors, the cuteness, the love. This baby love was 21 days old with lots of affection around her (including one of their amazing cats!). It was so wonderful spending time with this family.. congratulations! Thank you for this sweet opportunity.
